Today I Stood in the Ocean

Today I stood in the Pacific Ocean and felt privileged and grateful for being in this place at this time.

I wish you could feel the warmth of the Sun as it wrapped it's rays around me and filled my heart with peace. I wish you could have experienced the life teaming beneath me in that warm water as it washed over my feet. It was magical and thought provoking.

Experiencing those moments when your senses are on alert to all that is so much bigger and greater than oneself. The wonder that there is a lot that is so beautiful and right in a world that has gone mad in so many other ways.

The last two weeks have been about the 'Pace of Grace' in my life. In the midst of expectations, responsibilities, challenges from many directions there is a place that belongs only to God within me and around me. I want to carry that with me as I head home, recognizing that it won't look the same and yet I carry within me a space that is a sanctuary for my relationship with God. Where I find peace and strength and the courage to live each day to the fullest.

"This IS the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalm 118:24

Where do you see Jesus in your day today? Did He show up in the smile or gentle touch from a stranger or a hug from a friend? Did you see Him in that last beautiful blossom struggling to hang on for one more day? Did you see Him in the work that is entrusted to you or in the story you heard from the lips of one who was so grateful?

Where will you leave the heart of Jesus today for someone else to experience Him?
