Pace of Grace

Have you ever considered that the type of ground you walk on, will be a part of determining your pace?

Walking on a sandy shore or in the edge of the ocean or on a concrete sidwalk or a gravel path will determine your pace. None are wrong, they simply are what and where our feet land and demand a measured response.

Our lives are like that too. So many things can change the pace of our days. Some thngs that change the pace of our days are peripheral and should not carry the weight we give them. And yet when we loose sight of our Identiity, our Purpose, our Values everything seems to require the same from us. We cease to discern what truly is important and what is merely urgent.

Can you stop five minutes to affirm your God given Identity. If we were to meet for coffee today and I were to ask you, 'Tell me about yourslef?' Would you be the sum total of all the things you do? Or would you give me a picture of the essence of who you are and why that is so important?

Take a moment to read and reflect on the following passage. What does it say about who you are? Can you rest in that beautiful truth and live and breath that each day?

13.You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body    and knit me together in my mother’s womb.

¹⁴ Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!    Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.

¹⁵ You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion,    as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.

¹⁶ You saw me before I was born.    Every day of my life was recorded in your book.Every moment was laid out    before a single day had passed.

¹⁷ How precious are your thoughts about me,^[b] O God.    They cannot be numbered!¹⁸ I can’t even count them;    they outnumber the grains of sand!And when I wake up,    you are still with me! Psalm 139:13 - 18

Who can you encourage in the richness of their creation and Identity today?

UPDATE:

Life has held many twists and turns and as I have sought to follow hard after God, He has given wisdom along the way.

For months, I have been seeking His wisdom and the wisdom of others on "WILD&FREE@HEART". It is morphing in a different direction. One of the challenges for women was to find some trusted companions to travel this journey with and encourage one another to care for their hearts as our hearts are the wellspring of all we are and do. It truly was a challenge for women to find women to walk together with.

And so we are taking a little different direction. More information to follow.
