Closed Door 2 - I Have No Time!

Time is a precious commodity that we all covet. If only I had more time!
Stephen Covey spoke of the places we could not find more time and the places we could.
Our lives are made up of life and death situations that have no regard for our time.
Our lives are made up of responsibilities that do not have a lot of wiggle room except for when life or death situations arise.
And yet our lives are made up of any number of areas that we have control over but they often control us. I remember back in the eighties when I took Time Management from Stephen Covey. The areas we could find more time were areas like unhelpful emails that I learned to deal with once and away or sorting through mail - what was priority and what was junk - touch and deal with once. Our world has changed as our phones have become central to how we live.
We get captured in endless scrolling, in interesting but perhpas not the msot useful information, the lives of other people who we don't even have a relationship with etc. And before we know it an hour has escaped. Or we choose to escape by playing mindless games that just leave us listless and non creative.
So we can once more beat ourselves up or we can take an inventory of our time and thoughtfully make some adjustments to our biggest time eaters. Replacing the lesser priorities with those actions and behaviours that leave us energized or relaxed and creative.
Caring for our hearts is one way of finding the energy to prioritize and rethink who we are and what is important to us in this season.

"but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, ; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
